We are looking to hire an experienced CNC Machinists. Mazak and Lathes experience preferred. Pay based on experience. *** FULL-TIME ***

Girard Equipment, Inc. serves the bulk transportation industry with a broad and varied product line that we manufacture and distribute. Over the years, the company has grown in size and is now a dominant force in manufacturing special commodities for the tank truck industry.


Job Overview

  • 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Program machines in G code or Mazak control.
  • Understand EIA programs and Solid Works Cam software.
  • Train Level 1 and Level 2 machinists to perform all functions. Lead 2 or 3 operators to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Assist Machine Shop Manager on a daily basis. Ensure all machinist paperwork is completed accurately, signed, and accompanies finished goods at all times (manufacturing order, test logs, quality documents, notes etc.). Resolve paperwork and logistic problems that interfere with the completion of items scheduled. Coordinate the release of partial lots of completed parts necessary to expedite orders and ensure requirements are documented.
  • Ensure that manufacturing orders are logged in the ERP system and that finished parts are transferred to inventory consistently and accurately. Promote the importance of accurately tracking inventory and following procedures.


Core Competencies

  • Ability to operate complex machines, use hand tools, and shop equipment safely and with ease. Mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges of all types, and tape measurers.
  • Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, most specifically manufacturing ERP systems.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.


Qualifications

  • High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous CNC Machine experience required.
  • Experience with Mazak and Lathes preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
