Your Mission Includes:

  • Fine-tuning machine operations for peak efficiency.
  • Estimating cycle times with precision from print or CAD models.
  • Transforming operators through insightful coaching and training.
  • Enhancing setups and programs, driving up yields and cutting cycle times.
  • Reporting progress, dissecting potential roadblocks, and sharing insights with higher management.
  • Spearheading performance metrics and standard operating procedures.
  • Maximizing productivity while annihilating scrap rates.
  • Selecting the best in class—new equipment, leading-edge techniques, and ingenious methods.
  • Scripting job travelers or worksheet routers leading to seamless part completion.
  • Collaborating with the Quality team to refine inspection frequencies.
  • Advocating for company safety requirements—safety doesn’t happen by accident!

Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent practical knowledge.
  • Mastery of machining environments and CNC technology evolution.
  • 5-10 years of meaningful CNC machining exposure.
  • Mastery of lathes and mills.
  • CAD/CAM and shop floor programming expertise.
  • Strategic thinker in advanced machining concepts.
  • Proficient in capacity planning—see beyond the horizon.
  • Articulate communicator across all organizational levels.
  • Inspiring leader with an unyielding positive drive.
  • Detail-oriented problem-solver with experience in TPM, Kaizen concepts, and Setup Reduction.
  • Quality control aficionado with an understanding of GDT & SPC.
  • Tooling knowledge from cutting to forming—an impressive arsenal of skills.
  • ERP/MRP II systems guru.
  • Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office prowess.
  • Bonus: Bilingual—English and Spanish.
