Job description

Machinist – 1st Shift

Location: Worcester, MA
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Monday – Friday
 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. This position requires strong machining knowledge, blueprint reading, and hands-on experience with a variety of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, saws, etc.)

  • Perform machining operations including grinding, cutting, and assembly of parts

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

  • Select cutting tools, feeds, and speeds based on materials and machining requirements

  • Make machine adjustments and perform quality checks using precision measuring tools

  • Ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances

Qualifications
  • Previous machining experience required (manual and/or CNC)

  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

  • Experience with machine setup and programming (preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of machining materials (metals, alloys, composites, etc.)

  • Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools
