Job description

Description:
  • Analyze production drawings, CAD models, and work orders to develop, test , and optimize CNC programs, ensuring accurate dimensions and efficient production cycles.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Rhino, Alphacam & CAM software) to translate designs into machine-readable code.
  • Determine, select, and manage appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feed rates for wood components.
  • Simplify machining time to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Support the shop with technical questions and troubleshooting.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and the Production Manager.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a CNC programmer in architectural millwork and casework.
  • 5 years' experience in AutoCad.
  • 5 years' experience in Rhino
  • 5 years' experience in Alphacam or other CAM software
  • Experience with Homag CNC machines is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision
