We're looking for a CNC Programmer / Detailer (Trade Shows & Events) to join our team and help create the custom exhibits, trade show booths, and experiential environments seen at major events across the country. This role blends engineering, drafting, manufacturing, and problem-solving—giving you the opportunity to see your work move from concept to the show floor.

If you're experienced with AutoCAD, CNC programming, and production detailing, and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD models for custom trade show exhibits and modular display systems.
  • Convert conceptual designs into production-ready fabrication drawings and CNC-ready files.
  • Program CNC machines for cutting wood, plastics, foam, and other exhibit materials.
  • Create assembly, fabrication, setup, and installation drawings for internal production teams and external vendors.
  • Interpret design intent while applying value engineering, manufacturing best practices, and structural integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with Designers, Estimators, Project Managers, Fabricators, Graphics, and Service teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce detailed shop drawings, elevations, exploded assemblies, and bill of materials.
  • Maintain part libraries, standard components, and digital drawing archives.
  • Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards, ADA requirements, and trade show regulations.
  • Support fabrication teams by troubleshooting designs and improving manufacturability.
  • Monitor project timelines while balancing multiple priorities and tight production deadlines.
CNC Programming Responsibilities
  • Program and optimize CNC equipment for efficient production.
  • Set up CNC jobs using the correct materials, tooling, and machining parameters.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to manufacture precision components.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and dimensional compliance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and indicators.
  • Assist with material handling and operate forklifts as needed.
What You Bring
  • 4+ years of detailing experience in the exhibit, millwork, cabinetry, manufacturing, or related industry.
  • Experience creating production-ready fabrication drawings using AutoCAD 2D & 3D.
  • CNC programming experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, drafting standards, tolerancing, and fabrication methods.
  • Experience producing assembly drawings, shop drawings, and setup documentation.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience in the trade show, exhibits, experiential marketing, millwork, or custom fabrication industry.
  • Knowledge of ADA requirements and exhibit industry regulations.
  • Experience working with production teams, fabrication shops, and installation crews.
