Job Title: CNC Machine OperatorJob Description

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will safely set up, operate, adjust, and perform basic troubleshooting on CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment. You will work with minimal supervision to maintain production efficiency and high-quality standards, while supporting continuous improvement efforts and helping train less experienced operators.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related machinery with minimal supervision.
  • Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T specifications, and work instructions to manufacture precision parts.
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM equipment, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Monitor machine performance and make offsets or adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot machine and process issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Ensure parts meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with 5S workplace organization and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to improve processes and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Assist with training and mentoring entry-level or less experienced operators.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications.
  • Strong machining skills, including operating mills, lathes, and related machine tools.

Work Environment

You will work on one of three shifts: 1st shift (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.), or 3rd shift (11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.). The environment emphasizes safety, 5S workplace organization, and adherence to established procedures while maintaining consistent production output and quality standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
