Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Vertical Milling Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining HAAS CNC vertical milling machines to produce precision-machined components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing quality work, maintains a strong safety focus, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay Range:  $20.00-31.00 per hour (Starting rate commensurate with experience) 
$1,000 Hiring Bonus paid over your first year of employment
Second Shift
  • Monday – Thursday
  • 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
  • 4-Day Work Week
  • Additional $3.00/hour shift differential

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate HAAS CNC vertical milling machines to produce quality parts.
  • Load and unload raw materials, fixtures, and finished products.
  • Verify machine settings, tooling, and program requirements prior to production runs.
  • Monitor machine operations and make tool wear offsets or adjustments as needed.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and maintenance records.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate concerns to supervisors as needed.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year CNC machining experience required.
  • Experience with CNC machine setups and operation.
  • Experience operating HAAS CNC milling machines preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Basic understanding of G-code programming and CAD/CAM software preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and measurements accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
