Job description

CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer needed for a precision machine shop in Traverse City.
Experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol controllers required. Experience with Doosan lathes and Fanuc controllers is a plus. Swiss-type lathe experience also a plus. MasterCAM programming experience preferred.
Pay is based on experience and proven skill at $20.00 - $26.00 to start.
After 90 days: health/vision/dental health benefits, employer-matched 401(k), paid sick time, free uniforms and employer paid life insurance provided. After 6 months employees are eligible for paid vacation and PTO. Unlimited access for employees and family to onsite fitness center is included. Paid weekly via direct deposit.
First and Second shifts available; typically Mon-Thur., 10-hour shifts, with overtime available on Fridays. Start times are flexible, if needed.
A qualified candidate will be able to machine components for first articles as well as production runs. The programmer/machinists will monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes and performing in-process inspections.
Qualifications
  • Experience with MasterCAM and AutoDesk Fusion 360 a plus
  • Set-up and operate CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill
  • Prefer 2 years experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
