CNC Field Service Engineer

Mundelein, Illinois, United States

About the Job

Job Duties:

  • Conduct field service at customer facilities, ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of CNC tool & cutter grinding machines.
  • Provide comprehensive support to customers onsite, by phone, and via email, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues promptly and effectively.
  • Expect up to 80% travel within the USA, Canada, and Mexico to support customer needs.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Technical field service experience with CNC grinding machinery, encompassing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting machine problems both on-site and remotely, including answering customer inquiries regarding maintenance, mechanical/electrical drawings, and part identification.
  • Experience with the installation of CNC grinding machines at customer facilities.
  • "Hands-on" individual with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend electrical, mechanical, and other technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and fluid power circuits is preferred.

Must Have:

CNC grinding experience, troubleshooting CNC machines, remote support.

Nice to Have:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
