Overview

We’re growing our precision machining operation and building a world-class team to support advanced aerospace, defense, and semiconductor manufacturing.

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Milling Setup Machinist with a strong milling or lathe foundation who can independently set up complex, tight-tolerance work, troubleshoot problems, and make adjustments at the machine.

Compensation
  • CNC Machinist: $32–$38/hr
  • Senior CNC Machinist: $38–$50/hr

Shift Options

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM–1:00 AM

  • Monday - Thursday (4x10s)
  • Optional overtime available

Weekend Shift: 5am - 5:00 PM

  • Friday - Sunday (3x12s)
  • Work 36, paid for 40

Requirements

  • Machine Setups: Perform complete CNC milling setups for complex precision components.
  • Tooling & Workholding: Set tooling, fixtures, workholding, offsets, and work coordinates.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Job Prove-Out: Prove out jobs and make necessary adjustments at the machine.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve tooling, workholding, dimensional, and machining issues.
  • Machine Adjustments: Make G-code, tooling, and offset adjustments as necessary.
  • Quality Inspection: Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Precision Machining: Maintain tight tolerances and ensure finished components meet customer and engineering requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Work with CNC programmers, engineering, and quality to improve machining processes.
  • High-Mix Production: Support both new and established jobs across a variety of complex components.
Qualifications

Required

  • CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Independent CNC machine setup
  • Strong blueprint reading and dimensional inspection
  • Experience machining complex, tight-tolerance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments at the
  • Experience using micrometers, indicators, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment

Preferred

  • 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis CNC milling
  • Working knowledge of G-code and CNC program
  • Matsuura, Yasda, Makino, Feeler, Fanuc, or similar machine
  • Mastercam
  • Strong GD&T
  • Aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, or other high-precision manufacturing experience
