Job description

CNC OD Grinder

Join a leading manufacturer and put your CNC grinding skills to work in a precision machining environment. We are seeking a CNC OD Grinder / Operator to set up and operate CNC grinding equipment, producing high-quality carbide and steel cutting tools while maintaining close tolerances and maximizing efficiency.

What You'll Do:

  • Set up and operate CNC grinding machines for precision machining operations.
  • Perform frequent machine changeovers for custom and small-batch orders.
  • Select grinding wheels, tooling, and programs; adjust as needed.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
  • Operate multiple machines when production requirements allow.
  • Enter production data and maintain accurate job documentation.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

What We're Looking For:

  • CNC Certificate or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 1+ year of CNC machine setup and operation experience.
  • Grinding experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong math and trigonometry skills.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Computer skills and ability to enter machine programs and production data.
  • Experience with CNC grinding equipment such as Toyoda, Studer, Mitsubishi, Tschudin, Kellenberger, or Reinecker is highly desirable.
