Description:

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a CNC Machinist II who will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations by efficiently operating and maintaining CNC machinery. This position requires a solid understanding of CNC operations, the ability to perform complex setups, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards are met. Under the guidance of our production team, you will contribute to the success of our manufacturing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate CNC machines to produce components, monitoring machining processes, and making real-time adjustments as needed for optimal performance
  • Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensions and quality
  • Make necessary tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments based on production requirements and engineering specifications
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes. Identify and report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and quality problems, implementing corrective actions as required to maintain production flow and quality standards
  • Follow strict safety protocols, ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues. Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Accurately document production records, including part counts, machine logs, and quality control data
  • Collaborate effectively with the production team, CNC programmers, and engineers to optimize machining processes and achieve production targets
Requirements:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years’ experience
  • Produce a high-quality product according to required specifications on a consistent basis
  • Produce the required quantity of product according to required output specifications
  • Understand the machine operation process and the movement of completed components
  • Use computers as required
  • Use measuring tools as required
  • Read and understand Blueprints
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely
  • Operate all hand tools, machines and equipment successfully as required and with minimal supervision
  • Work as a productive team member who contributes to the organizations’ success.
  • Handle fast-paced work
  • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative to see tasks that are needed and complete them without being instructed to do so by supervisors or lead personnel
  • Demonstrate dependability with good attendance

EDUCATION

  • Highschool Diploma
  • 2-year technical certification or equivalent experience
