Job description

Position Description:
One of our leading medical clients is seeking an experienced Machinist III to program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming and machining expertise and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.


Responsibilities

  • Program CNC machines using CamWorks and SolidWorks.
  • Use Mastercam or GibbsCAM; training on CamWorks will be provided as needed.
  • Perform G-code editing at the machine to optimize programs and resolve machining issues.
  • Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual lathes.
  • Select tooling and establish work and tool offsets.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, engineering sketches, and GD&T.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, indicators, and other precision instruments.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, equipment, and quality issues.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and basic equipment repairs.
  • Apply knowledge of material characteristics, tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
  • Support safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, coworkers, and vendors.

  • Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC and manual lathes.
  • Experience with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or CamWorks.
  • Experience with G-code editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machining and quality issues.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.


Education Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational machining training preferred.
