Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

As a CNA, Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, or Resident Care Aide, you will:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)

  • Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

  • Assist with transfers, ambulation, and repositioning residents safely

  • Take and document vital signs accurately

  • Report changes in resident conditions to licensed nurses

  • Support residents during meals and assist with feeding when necessary

  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment

  • Follow care plans and facility policies

  • Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
