Job description

Float Pool Position

Float pool position. Please ensure candidate cleared on float units, ratios and flexibility on scheduling. Minimum experience: 1 year; 1st timers are accepted. Patient population: adults to geriatrics. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH. General skills and work setting requirements: all Protentional MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU diagnoses. Primary floating required is ICU float but could float to all MS, MS/Tele, PCU, ICU units within the hospital. Ratio/census: 1:2-3 ICU; 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS, MS Tele unit. Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR. Scrub color: navy blue. RTO: max 7 days per contract. RTO blackout dates: spring break (April 4th-12th). Weekends: every other weekend unless specified elsewhere (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract). Floating: required. Call requirements: none. 48-hour guarantee approved but not mandatory. Holidays: if one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day. Compliance: full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. *Aya offer* aya offer information: once candidate has signed and confirmation has been sent, manager has 48 hours to review the profile/confirmation and determine if unit/schedule/expertise fit. *Aya offer only available if clinical pass within RTO guidelines + meets specific facility requirements*.
