Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – Orem, UT

Overview

Just Ingredients is a health and wellness e‑commerce company that creates products using real, whole‑food ingredients. The CMO will serve as the chief marketing strategist, working closely with the CEO to shape the brand, drive growth across direct‑to‑consumer and CPG channels, and lead a high‑performance marketing organization.

Responsibilities
  • Executive Leadership: Report directly to the CEO; partner daily on brand direction, messaging, content, podcast strategy, and overall brand communication.
  • Strategic Marketing Vision: Translate the CEO’s vision into scalable marketing strategies, set KPIs, manage the full marketing budget, and own the company’s marketing roadmap.
  • Organizational Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a cross‑functional marketing team across brand, digital, social, paid media, partnerships, and retail & wholesale channels.
  • Brand Marketing: Define brand identity, spearhead brand strategy for existing and new product lines, lead brand campaigns, and maintain clean‑label positioning.

  • Affiliate & TikTok Marketing: Oversee affiliate programs, commissions, and performance tracking; lead TikTok Shop and TikTok affiliate strategy.
  • Sports Partnerships Marketing: Identify and activate sports partnerships, develop athlete ambassador programs, and manage partnership budgets.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership, including at least 5 years in a senior role (VP, CMO, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to work in high‑trust, high‑alignment relationships with founders or CEOs.
  • Experience in health, wellness, supplements, beauty, CPG, or DTC sectors with a deep understanding of clean‑label consumers.
  • Track record of building and scaling a full‑stack marketing organization across brand, digital, social, paid media, partnerships, and retail/wholesale.
  • Hands‑on expertise in paid performance, CAC, LTV, ROAS, MER, and margin attribution.
  • Experience leading affiliate, influencer, TikTok Shop, or social commerce at scale.
  • Successful sports, brand, and channel partnership programs that delivered measurable growth.
  • Event marketing strategy experience from large expos to branded activations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team‑building skills; strong executive presence and communication.
  • Data‑driven decision‑making with a creative instinct; ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
