Job Description

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for BOK Financial will be responsible for driving innovative, results‑oriented marketing strategies that strengthen our brand, accelerate revenue growth, and position us as a leader in the financial services sector. How You'll Spend Your Time

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business and 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing and communications with at least 5 years at the senior level in financial services of similarly complex industries or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven success in senior communications and marketing roles within large, complex organizations with multiple lines of business and geographic dispersion.
  • Demonstrated expertise across diverse channels and disciplines, including digital, direct marketing, creative, online, event, and media, with mastery of tactics to attract, expand, and retain relationships in various client segments.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in corporate brand strategy for organizations recognized as strong developers and protectors of their brand, coupled with comprehensive understanding of general marketing principles, production and design techniques, and accounting principles for budget management.
  • Extensive experience in competitive analysis and strategic application of market data and learnings to support the development of impactful marketing plans.
  • Strong business, communication, and marketing acumen, with exceptional ability to influence, negotiate, and apply emotional intelligence with key stakeholders; skilled in building and executing creative marketing strategies that drive significant retail consumer growth.
  • Expertise in brand development, digital marketing, customer segmentation, performance analytics, and brand stewardship, along with demonstrated success in media relations, executive communications, and crisis management.
  • Exceptional team leadership, stakeholder management, and project execution skills; proven ability to lead, manage, and successfully execute new and ongoing initiatives within fast‑paced, client‑focused, consultative, non‑hierarchical, and matrix‑managed entrepreneurial environments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities, complemented by proficiency in PC applications including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Experience managing substantial marketing budgets and large multifunctional teams, with deep understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services marketing.
  • Ability to thrive in performance‑driven cultures, think strategically while executing tactically, and consistently develop and implement communication strategies that drive business results and influence diverse audiences.
