Job description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
We are currently seeking a CMMS Engineer to serve as a system mater expert within Amazon data center region. Ideal candidates will posses the ability to design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. This role requires both effective contributions as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams

The scope of this role will include but not limited to owning the process from start to finish with deploying the EAM platform in your data center region. Working to support local data center teams with asset collection; maintenance schedules, reporting, and training. As part of the global EAM team, you will help drive global processes and document development.

This role acts as the gatekeeper for mission critical data in EAM, responsible for the accuracy and reports produced in EAM. You will be required on a frequent basis to help develop systems enhancement modules of core and advanced modules to meet Regional or Global business requirements. There will be 20% travel when launching new locations.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles

You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Key job responsibilities
The CMMS Engineer will be responsible for setup and maintaining site asset data through Hexagon EAM. The engineer will work within the data centers to ensure that asset details are captured to match the digital record

They will work with corresponding teams to align and schedule maintenance within the CMMS application. The engineer will proactively perform routine data scrubs, identify and correct any anomalies, while continuously looking for ways to automate and enhance processes. They will also plan and conduct training and workshop sessions for large audiences within the organization.
A day in the life
CMMS Engineers connect AWS data center operations teams with the systems that track physical equipment

They tag and catalog new equipment as sites grow, support staff through Slack and training, schedule preventive maintenance, and keep asset records accurate. They also handle administrative work and contribute to projects that improve the tools the team relies on. It's a hands-on role blending fieldwork, customer support, and system upkeep - ensuring every piece of data center equipment is properly tracked, maintained, and ready to support reliable operations.
About the team
The CMMS team is part of AWS Data Center Central Operations, responsible for the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems that keep our physical infrastructure organized, maintained, and audit-ready across data center sites

We work closely with multipel Data Center Operations, Field Engineering, and Infrastructure Reliability teams to make sure every asset is accurately tracked and properly scheduled for maintenance. Our team combines on-site fieldwork with system administration, and we're continually looking for ways to automate manual processes and improve the tools our stakeholders depend on daily.
