Overview

We are seeking a versatile, proactive Project Manager to join our team at Steel Patriot Partners. This unique role combines customer-facing responsibilities with technical project management, supporting both engineering and compliance projects.

The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, while also working hands-on with internal engineering and compliance teams to ensure successful service delivery. This position is ideal for someone who can balance strong client communication skills with technical understanding and building processes that will scale with the company s growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and a positive customer experience throughout each project.
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and dashboards, track progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate project kickoffs, client updates, and status meetings, ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned.
  • Coordinate with the team to translate compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001, FedRAMP) into actionable project tasks and timelines.
  • Balance customer needs with internal resource capacity and technical constraints.
  • Develop and refine project management practices, tools, and templates to improve delivery efficiency and consistency.
  • Provide leadership visibility into project status and performance, recommending process improvements as needed.
  • Build trust and long-term relationships with customers through responsiveness, accountability, and consistent delivery.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in IT, cybersecurity, compliance, or related fields.
  • Proven success managing both customer-facing projects and internal technical initiatives.

  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001, FedRAMP) and technical environments (IT/cybersecurity).
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, or similar).
