Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: General Med/Tele skillset required, including stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, Flexi-Seal, Foley insertion/management), and PCA pumps. Medication gtt management required, including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF.

Unit Details: Patient population includes sepsis, respiratory illnesses, GI disorders, infections, liver failure, and AKI/CKD. RN ratios 1:5-6, acuity dependent; surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8. CNA ratio 1:9. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors. No monitoring tech; nurses read monitors and respond.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call for travelers. Travelers will work 75% of holidays.

Floating Requirements: Floating required within Region 2 or Region 3, within scope of practice. Region 2 includes Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, Levine Children’s Hospital). Region 3 includes Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, Levine Children’s Hospital).

Special Requests: Up to 6 days off can be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if contracted hours cannot be met.
