Job description

As part of the team, you will be pursuing the most advanced, innovative, and cost-effective treatment options, so that our patients receive personalized, custom care best suited to their situation.

Under direct supervision, assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a medical environment that may include medical oncology, radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, BMT or gynecologic oncology. Maintains efficient patient flow, documents in electronic medical records (EMR), and assists with patient care (i.e., exams, procedures, and patient education.) Performs miscellaneous clinic support tasks including filing, answering phones, and maintaining physician’s schedule. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required. If not currently certified, OCSRI will assist with CMA certification. One or more years’ experience in a medical clinic preferred. Proof of current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) as required by CMS attestation. Medical Assistant Certification must be kept active/current for employment at OCSRI. Current CPR certification required. Basic knowledge of the operation of standard office equipment desired. Communication skills written and verbal. Excellent customer service and high level of courtesy and professionalism required.
