Pay Range starts at $28.00 an hour!
As a CMA, you provideindividualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain theirhighest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. You alsoadminister, instruct, and monitor resident medications and report to thedirector of nursing. You Will:
  • Ensure proper dosage/distribution and instructresidents on application/consumption of medication per the direction of theirphysician
  • Take vital signs, residents' weights, applycreams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, usingproper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
  • Attend to the resident's needs, including;grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting,colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range ofmotion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
  • Ensure individualized care plans are followedand provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, andobservations of the residents' needs and preferences.
  • Document care in keeping with departmentpolicies
You Currently:
  • Possess a CMA certification in the state ofemployment
  • Can obtain CPR/BLS card
  • Read, write, speak and understand English
  • Follow prescribed safety and infection controlprocedures
  • Have compassion and interest in working with thesenior population
  • Communicate and interact tactfully with others
