Job description

BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is currently hiring Independent Contractor Water Aerobics Instructors .


Compensation:

  • $60 per class


We are looking for passionate, energetic, and experienced water aerobics instructors who are committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and engaging workouts for our members.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design safe and effective programs according to group class format.
  • Guides members through initial and progressive sessions.
  • Insure proper, up-to-date and safe procedures are used in the teaching of group classes.
  • Inspects all apparatus and areas for cleanliness and safety.
  • Performs light custodial duties such as wipes down equipment before/after use
  • Enforces all rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Works closely with Group Exercise Coordinator and Management.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have certification for group classes, as well as certification for each modality.
  • CPR/AED Certification.
  • Must have Minimum 3-year experience teaching in our demographic (average age 72).
  • Must have excellent member service skills.
  • Participates in continuing education seminars and workshops.
  • Must have Liability insurance.


Other Qualifications:

  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Flexibility with schedule.
  • Experience and exposure with wide variety of other exercise modalities, equipment, instructional techniques, injury prevention, fitness/wellness counseling and developing/interpreting personalized wellness regimens.
  • Must be able to read and speak English in order to perform the duties of the position.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Associates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
