Sous Chef - Daylene's Supper Club
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Sous Chef - Daylene's Supper Club. In this role, you will support the Executive Chef in bringing Daylene's vision to life through precise menu execution, strong team leadership, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
As a key member of the culinary leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while helping to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will play an integral role in fostering a memorable dining atmosphere through consistently delicious food, genuine hospitality, and attention to every detail that creates timeless charm.
Salary Range - $70,000-$72,000/year
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute menus developed by Kalahari corporate with precision, consistency, and attention to detail.
    • Support daily kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency across all stations.
    • Assist in leading, training, and mentoring culinary team members, fostering growth and accountability.
    • Help manage food costs, inventory levels, and vendor relationships to maintain operational excellence.
    • Execute and support memorable tableside presentations, including Prime Rib carving and Baked Alaska.
    • Collaborate with culinary and front-of-house leadership to deliver a seamless and exceptional guest experience.

What We're Looking For
  • At least 2 years of culinary leadership experience, preferably in a fine dining, steakhouse, or supper club environment.
  • Passion for both traditional Midwestern flavors and modern culinary techniques.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in cost control, purchasing, and kitchen labor management.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, and a genuine joy for creating exceptional guest experiences.
