Position Overview

The Maintenance Operator II is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course. In addition, the position is also responsible for special maintenance and landscaping projects around the course and club.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Complete special maintenance and landscaping projects on the golf course.

  • Maintain the greens, including mowing, topdressing, plugging, grooming, verticutting, sodding, ball mark repairs, syringing, and identifying insects.

  • Change cups, pin locations, and tee placements; repair divots.

  • Check and maintain good condition of cups, flags, and tee markers.

  • Check ball washers, empty trash, and remove course debris.

  • Set up course according to weather, caliber of players, and amount of play.

  • Assist in applying pesticides throughout property according to state safety regulations.

  • Clean and maintain spray equipment and chemical storage area.

  • Inventory pesticides and safe storage equipment.

  • Communicate effectively with all team members and guests.

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or needs of the club.

Requirements

  • One year of golf course maintenance experience

  • Understanding of the game of golf and importance of course conditions

  • High level of attention to detail

In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:

  • Appropriate state pesticide applicators license

Physical Demands
