Club Associate information

What are Club Associates?

Club Associates are staff members who work in membership-based clubs, such as fitness centers, wholesale clubs, or social clubs. Their responsibilities typically include assisting members, processing transactions, maintaining club facilities, and providing excellent customer service. They may also help with stocking merchandise, organizing events, or enrolling new members. Club Associates play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for all club members and guests.

What positions are in a club?

In a club, common positions include club manager, event coordinator, membership coordinator, and staff roles such as bartenders, security personnel, and maintenance workers. These roles support operations, member services, and event execution within the club environment.

Common Search & ComparisonOften compared for customer service roles in clubsCompared for fitness and training roles

The main difference is that a Club Associate primarily handles member services and administrative tasks within a club environment, while a Fitness Instructor focuses on leading fitness classes and personal training sessions. Both roles are common in health clubs and gyms, but they require different certifications and skill sets. Understanding these distinctions helps job seekers find the right position aligned with their qualifications and career goals.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Club associates typically do not earn $4,000 a week without additional skills or experience. High-paying jobs that can reach this level without a degree often include sales roles, real estate agents, or skilled trades like certain construction or electrical work, which rely on experience, certifications, or commissions rather than formal education. These roles may require strong interpersonal skills, licensing, or specialized training.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Club Associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Club Associate, you need strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and typically at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management tools, and basic computer applications is often required. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities help you engage members and address their needs effectively. These skills and qualities ensure a positive member experience, smooth club operations, and contribute to the overall success of the club.

What jobs pay $700 a day?

For a Club Associate, earning $700 a day typically requires working in high-end or exclusive clubs, often involving long hours, specialized skills, or management responsibilities. Such pay rates are more common in roles like club managers, event coordinators, or senior staff in luxury venues, especially with experience and certifications. These positions may also include tips or bonuses that contribute to the daily income.

How can I make 2000 a week working from home?

A Club Associate can increase earnings by taking on multiple shifts, providing exceptional customer service, and developing specialized skills such as sales or event planning. Earning $2000 weekly typically requires consistent work, possibly including overtime or bonuses, and leveraging remote communication tools. High earnings may also depend on the club's compensation structure and individual performance.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a Club Associate in a membership-based organization?

Club Associates are responsible for a variety of daily tasks that support both club operations and member satisfaction. Their duties often include greeting members, processing check-ins, answering questions about club services, assisting with event setup, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. They may also handle administrative work such as managing member records, scheduling, and coordinating with other team members to ensure smooth operations. Effective communication and a proactive attitude are key, as Club Associates frequently collaborate with supervisors, trainers, and service staff to address member needs and uphold club standards.

Job description

Club Manager

Full-Time  ·  Top performers earn $60,000–$70,000+

Reports to: District Manager

YOUR EARNING POTENTIAL

Base pay is just the starting point. Our Club Managers earn a competitive base salary of $35,000–$50,000 — but the real opportunity is in performance bonuses. Our best managers consistently earn $60,000–$70,000 or more by hitting membership and training sales goals. The harder you work, the more you make — there's no ceiling.

If you're motivated by performance and want a role where your paycheck reflects your effort, this is it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

At Anytime Fitness, our Club Managers are the heartbeat of the gym. You'll lead a tight-knit team, build real relationships in your community, and directly impact both members' lives and club revenue. This is a front-of-house sales and leadership role — equal parts people-person, sales driver, and fitness ambassador. If you thrive when you're talking to people, hitting goals, and creating an environment others can't stop raving about, this is your seat.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Membership & Training Sales

Qualify leads, overcome objections, and convert prospects into members using a proven, relationship-first system. This is where you'll have the biggest impact on your bonus earnings — and on people's lives.

Lead Group Training

Spend roughly one-third of your time energizing clients through pre-designed group workouts, modifying exercises for all fitness levels, and ensuring safe technique using heart rate monitors.

Market the Club

Build B2B relationships, run community outreach, and get creative with guerrilla marketing and social media campaigns. We prefer creative over conventional — TV and radio are the backup plan.

Build & Lead Your Team

Hire, train, and inspire personal trainers and part-time staff to deliver a consistently exceptional member experience and work as a cohesive unit.

Own the Member Experience

Create a club culture so strong that members become your best recruiters — talking you up to friends, family, and coworkers. Top-notch customer service is non-negotiable.

Manage Club Operations

Keep the club clean, safe, and fully operational at all times. Hold your team accountable to daily checklists, safety standards, and equipment maintenance.

YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...

  • Are naturally outgoing and love building relationships with new people
  • Are driven by goals and excited to earn more when you exceed them
  • Are genuinely passionate about health, fitness, and helping others
  • Can coach, motivate, and hold a small team accountable
  • Take initiative and work independently without needing constant direction
  • Are available for flexible hours, including Saturdays during peak season (October–March)

REQUIREMENTS

  • 18+ years old with a high school diploma minimum
  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in an exercise-related field strongly preferred
  • Sales experience preferred — or a genuine drive to learn and excel at it
  • Leadership or management experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties in a gym environment

A WORD OF HONESTY

A significant part of this role involves outbound sales — including calling prospects and inviting them to visit the club. If you're uncomfortable with that, this role isn't the right fit. But if you love connecting with people and find purpose in helping someone take their first step toward a healthier life, you'll find our approach feels less like selling and more like coaching.

BENEFITS

  • Base salary $35,000–$50,000 + uncapped monthly performance bonuses
  • Top performers consistently earn $60,000–$70,000+
  • Health benefits (HRA) for qualified employees
  • Paid time off + holiday pay
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Tuition assistance toward NASM Personal Training Certification
  • Free gym membership
  • Uniforms provided; fitness casual dress code
  • Real growth and development opportunities within the company
