For more than 140 years, the Corinthian Yacht Club has been a cornerstone of yachting, racing, and cruising on the North Shore. Located on Marblehead Harbor, CYC is a private, member-focused club offering dining, social events, guest accommodations, recreational amenities, and an active sailing and racing program. We are committed to providing exceptional service and a welcoming experience for our members, their families, and guests.
Position Summary
The Corinthian Yacht Club is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Part-Time Finance Office Associate to support the Club's financial and administrative operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with member account inquiries, and supporting the Finance Office's daily processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting or financial software, strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with members and coworkers.
Schedule

  • Approximately 25 hours per week throughout the active season (April - November)
  • Approximately 15 hours per week during the off-season, generally late fall through early spring
  • Schedule may vary based on operational needs and the Club's seasonal calendar
  • Hourly pay range: $24.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated abilities
Essential Responsibilities
  • Post and accurately record member and other deposits.
  • Reconcile daily point-of-sale charges and review transactions for accuracy.
  • Track reciprocal club charges and maintain organized supporting records.
  • Assist with accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable processing.
  • Respond professionally to member questions regarding charges appearing on monthly statements.
  • Maintain accurate financial files, reports, and documentation.
  • Provide general administrative and financial support to the Finance Office as needed.
  • Handle confidential financial and member information with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience using financial software, including accounts receivable billing, payroll processing, and accounts payable processing or management.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide professional, responsive service to members and staff.
  • Prior experience in a private club, hospitality, nonprofit, or service-oriented organization is preferred, but not required.
