To thrive as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), you need a strong background in biology, chemistry, and laboratory procedures, typically supported by a bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field and state or national certification. Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS), automated diagnostic equipment, and quality control protocols is essential. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills help CLS professionals ensure accurate results and collaborate with healthcare teams.
