Description
Western Wisconsin Health is looking for a full-time Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory. The Medical Technologist would be responsible for obtaining lab samples, performs accurately and efficiently all ordered lab work. All of this is done to support the organization's mission while living our values.
$6000 Signing Bonus!
  • $3000 paid on your first paycheck
  • $3000 paid after 6 months of employment

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in CLS or MT, Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or Laboratory Science Technician with a qualified bachelors degree and eligibility to sit for certification as a MT or CLS, or other acceptable qualifying track as noted on an acceptable MT or CLS certification's website.
  • Certificate from Board of Registry from ASCP or NCA for MT or CLS within 9 months of hire

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of:

o Advanced scientific principles
o Procedural and research aspects of laboratory testing.
o Windows software
  • Ability to perform all laboratory testing and appropriate equipment maintenance and trouble shooting in the department
  • Ability to work independently on delegated projects and solve interdepartmental problems with clear communication
  • Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
  • Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards
  • Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently

Work schedule:
  • 1.0 FTE - 80 hours per biweekly pay period
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Weekend and Holiday rotation
