Intermediate Azure Cloud Engineer (Managed Services)
Location: Irvine, CA (100% On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Level: 2
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Intermediate Azure Cloud Engineer to join our Managed Services team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, optimization, and troubleshooting of complex Azure environments for a diverse portfolio of clients.
As a key member of our technical team, you will bridge the gap between initial cloud architecture and ongoing operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in Azure, a "security-first" mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, VNet, Azure SQL, App Services, and Storage Accounts.
  • Automation & IaC: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates to standardize and automate deployments.
  • Identity & Security: Manage Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and ensure compliance using Azure Policy and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to proactively monitor performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Cost Management: Analyze client cloud spend using Azure Cost Management and provide actionable recommendations for cost optimization (Rightsizing, Reserved Instances, etc.).
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and test robust backup and recovery solutions using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
  • L3 Technical Support: Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and documenting resolutions.
  • Client Engagement: Interface with clients to understand technical requirements and provide updates on infrastructure health and project status.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud engineering or administration within an MSP or enterprise environment.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Deep understanding of Azure Networking (NSGs, ASGs, VPN Gateways, Firewalls).
  • Deep understanding of Azure Storage Account.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
  • Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux Server administration.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment, and clear professional communication skills.
  • Requirement: Must be able to work 100% on-site at our Irvine, CA office.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) is highly preferred. Progress toward AZ-305 (Solutions Architect) or AZ-500 (Security Engineer) is a plus.
  • Containerization: Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Docker.
  • Migration: Experience with "Lift & Shift" or Refactoring migrations from on-premises to Azure.
  • Language Skills: Korean language proficiency is preferred
Why You'll Love It Here
  • Our Product is Our People: We live by this. We invest in people who invest in themselves. Your growth is our growth.
  • True Servant Leadership: Our CTO leads with a "force multiplier" philosophy. Management is here to empower you and clear roadblocks, not to micromanage. We won't ask you to do anything we're not willing to do ourselves.
  • Flat Organization, Real Impact: Your voice and designs will directly shape our technical roadmap and our clients' success. You'll work on the latest tech to solve real problems.
  • A "Learn-from-it" Culture: We're moving fast and building new things. We believe mistakes are learning opportunities, not failures.

We seek diverse talent who are ready to make an immediate impact. We believe that innovation thrives when teams are built with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. If you are excited by this mission, we encourage you to apply, even if your experience doesn't perfectly match every qualification listed.
