Job Title: Oracle Cloud Payroll Lead Consultant

Location: Hybrid with remote work allowed. Travel to client sites as required.

Job Description:

Sierra-Cedar is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Payroll Lead Consultant to join our robust Cloud practice. If you thrive on helping clients use progressive technology solutions to help optimize their business practices, our team is looking for consultants like you. The ideal candidate will have proven end-to-end Cloud project experience leading complex Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations. It is critical to understand how to align key deliverables and milestone metrics for project success and deliver comprehensive business solutions for client system optimization. As a key member of our talented Cloud team, you will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and consultants to develop, plan, and implement Cloud solutions across our many Cloud projects in Public Sector and/or Commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide functional consulting services by acting as subject matter expert and leading clients through the entire Cloud application services implementation lifecycle for Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions
  • Identify business requirements and map them to HCM Cloud functionality
  • Conduct Functional Design Workshops
  • Identify functionality gaps and build extensions for them
  • Advise client on options, risks, and any impacts on other processes or systems
  • Configure the applications in a Functional Lead capacity to meet client Payroll requirements and document application set-ups
  • Bring knowledge of methods and techniques in a Cloud software development and consulting environment, and demonstrated skill in Oracle Cloud Payroll to solve business problems
  • Write business requirement documents for Payroll reports, interfaces, data conversions, integrations and application extensions
  • Assist client in preparing validation scripts and testing scenarios, and developing test scripts
  • Lead migration of configuration, integrations, and extensions to production
  • Effectively communicate and drive project deliverables
  • Complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Interact with the project team members responsible for developing reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, and application extensions
  • Provide status and issue reports to the project manager/client on a regular basis
  • Share knowledge to continually improve implementation methodology

Qualifications:

Must have a solid understanding and work experience as a Functional Lead with the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Functional Lead role
  • Ideal candidate has completed two end-to-end Cloud implementations with Oracle Cloud Payroll
  • Solid experience working with Oracle E-Business, PeopleSoft or Cloud applications with a focus in Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Ability to lead other functional leads through the different project phases
  • Experience implementing HCM solutions in Public Sector and/or Commercial Healthcare is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is required at a minimum
  • Oracle Cloud certification(s) strongly preferred
  • Travel to client sites as needed
  • Must already be living in the US
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • All work to be performed in the US

  • Demonstrated follow-through on assignments and issue resolution
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with clients, account executives, and management
  • Consistently produces clear, concise status reports
  • Builds confidence and trust with clients
  • Displays effective analytical skills
