Job description

Lead Cloud Ops Engineer

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of DevOps practices across our ERP hosting platform. Serve as a technical mentor to CloudOps teams and collaborate with product teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Advocate and implement best practices and design patterns across supported products.
  • Collaborate with product teams to design, develop, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
  • Leverage IaC, configuration management, and event‑driven infrastructure for secure and resilient deployments.
  • Create tools to streamline deployment and enhance monitoring in a large‑scale distributed environment.
  • Architect and implement innovative software solutions supporting DevOps and Agile transformation.
  • Mentor and review work of senior and junior CloudOps team members, providing constructive feedback.
  • Offer technical guidance to leadership to improve project outcomes and efficiency.
  • Continuously expand expertise and share knowledge with colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in a cloud‑focused DevOps, CloudOps, or software engineering role.
  • Hands‑on experience in a CI/CD environment, implementing and maintaining automation pipelines.
  • Proficiency managing Linux‑based systems and using configuration automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or RunDeck).
  • Design and maintain highly available and secure cloud systems, including migration and workload management in AWS.
  • Development experience with an object‑oriented language and scripting in Bash or Python.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Datadog.
  • Familiarity with core AWS services: EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, S3.
  • Experience with at least one CI/CD platform such as Harness, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check.
Working Arrangement

Remote work within the same MSA as the worksite is available 4 days per week; on‑site presence in Plano, TX is required 1 day per week.
