Job description

Job Summary (List Format):
- Serve as the Cloud Migration Project Manager under the direction of the Agency’s FXPA Project Management Office lead.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to the cloud using a modular approach.
- Develop and maintain detailed migration plans including scope, schedules, dependencies, resource allocation, and rollback strategies.
- Lead day-to-day delivery of cloud migration workstreams, tracking progress and proactively managing risks and issues.
- Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams, business units, vendors, and leadership; provide clear and regular status updates.
- Coordinate workloads and dependencies across multiple cloud environments (multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud).
- Identify and manage migration risks, maintain risk and issue logs, and handle change requests.
- Maintain all project documentation, including CRAIDL logs and post-milestone reviews for lessons learned.
- Plan and execute cutover events and go-live activities, including readiness checks, communications, and contingency planning.
- Monitor project budgets, forecast cloud spend during transitions, and manage resource scheduling.
- Manage both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the migration project.
- Utilize project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
- Apply knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud migration concepts.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Perform additional project management tasks as requested by the FXPA Project Management Office lead.
