Job description

IntePros Federal is identifying Key Personnel for an upcoming bid supporting PL ALTESS. We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to be named in our proposal. This role will support ALTESS's commercial cloud services across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and private cloud environments.
The Senior Cloud Engineer will help architect, deploy, secure, and maintain cloud solutions for enterprise customers. Responsibilities include designing cloud architectures, migrating on-premises applications to cloud platforms, automating administrative tasks, and ensuring secure, compliant, and high-performance cloud operations.
Additional duties include creating and maintaining documentation and operating procedures, monitoring and tuning cloud performance, supporting secure transport technologies, and reporting on operational and security posture. The role also contributes to enterprise improvements, hardware/software integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
Qualified candidates will have strong communication skills, experience managing large-scale projects, and deep expertise in cloud engineering, automation, secure networking, and DoD cybersecurity compliance

Responsibilities - Activities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Support ALTESS commercial cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and private cloud environments.
  • Design, deploy, secure, and maintain cloud architectures for enterprise DoD and Army customers.
  • Migrate on-premises applications to cloud environments using best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
  • Automate routine administrative tasks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Implement and support secure transport technologies including IPSEC, VPN, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
  • Manage multiple large-scale cloud engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Create and maintain technical instructions, SOPs, operating procedures, and policies for cloud operations.
  • Monitor, tune, and report on cloud performance, operational status, and security posture.
  • Utilize code repository tools such as Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Support DoD cybersecurity compliance including STIGs, SRGs, IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM), and related security requirements.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, AWS CodeDeploy, or similar platforms.
  • Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies that expand, upgrade, and improve cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
