Many cloud engineers are involved in other aspects of information technology, such as overseeing SAP projects. Strong communication skills are required to communicate with clients to understand their needs so that you can create effective solutions for them. You work closely with the entire development team to create a work plan and timeline for deliverables on a project.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a cloud engineer?

To thrive as a Cloud Engineer, you need a strong background in computer science, networking, and cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, often supported by a relevant degree or certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
