Job Description
Title: Cloud Engineer
What impact will you have?
You will be joining an impressive infrastructure team focused on cloud automation. This will include designing and automating workloads for cloud services (private and public) with a focus on Azure, building out new tools and processes to automate and reduce time spent on manual tasks. You will use containerization concepts to migrate workloads and Java applications to the cloud. You will be involved with assessing the feasibility of migrating applications to the cloud and determining appropriate services to deploy. You will work closely with Application Engineers to engineer and deliver cloud services and solutions. You will assist with implementing, configuring troubleshooting, and supporting IT operations for cloud environments and support Windows, Linux, and VMware platforms. You will train others on automation practices and champion them for cloud initiatives.
Qualifications
Required Skills / Background:
-5 years Cloud experience to include solution implementation and best practices
-Azure experience preferred, but not required - other Cloud experience okay
-3+ years Automating workloads within enterprise clouds (DevOps, CI/CD, IaC)
-VMware experience
-Experience with major transformation projects and successful transitions to the cloud
-Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
-Scripting experience such as Azure PowerShell, Python, JSON, Azure CLI
-Experience with tools like Ansible, Azure Automation, VSTM, GIT, Jenkins, Sonar, Bash
-Experience with Windows and UNIX platforms
-Knowledgeable regarding performance tuning and troubleshooting
-Experience working in an Agile environment
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; organized, strong problem-solver, detail-oriented
-Able to participate in rotating on-call and off hours support
Preferred Skills:
