What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Cloud Computing Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Cloud Computing Specialist, you need a strong understanding of cloud architectures, networking, virtualization, and experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (like Terraform), containerization (such as Docker and Kubernetes), and certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are typically required. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills help specialists work effectively in cross-functional teams and deliver scalable solutions.
