Job description

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Role description:

At Arcadis, we are delivering some of the most transformative, asset management led and digitally enabled modernization programs in the world at a number of high-profile, asset-intensive organizations.

Within our Digital Intelligence Practice, we seek to create long-term partnerships with major transportation and infrastructure organizations to help them modernize enterprise platforms, implement enterprise asset management (EAM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) and enterprise decision analytics (EDA) solutions, and create sustainable, data-driven continuous improvement of their assets, people and overall business.

We combine deep industry knowledge with advanced digital capabilities - spanning enterprise asset management, data engineering, cloud platforms, analytics, and AI - to improve performance across the full asset lifecycle from strategy, planning, design, build, operate & maintain, and renewal.

This is not a traditional system implementation role; this is an opportunity to shape the digital backbone of nationally significant transportation networks.

Role accountabilities:

We are seeking a Senior Maximo Consultant to lead critical workstreams within complex, multi-year transportation industry EAM transformation programs.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and lead functional and technical workstreams within enterprise-scale IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) implementations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders - from operational leads to executive sponsors.
  • Translate asset management strategy into scalable, secure, and future-ready EAM solutions.
  • Influence architecture decisions across cloud, integration, and data landscapes.
  • Drive measurable business outcomes across safety, reliability, and asset performance.

You will operate at the intersection of consulting, architecture, and delivery leadership; this is not simply system configuration.

You will be working within highly complex transportation environments undergoing enterprise modernization which will include:

  • Cloud-based MAS deployments.
  • Multi-system integration landscapes (ERP, GIS, data platforms, operational systems).
  • Legacy system rationalization.
  • Enterprise data transformation initiatives.
  • Regulatory and governance-driven environments.

This is an opportunity to contribute to infrastructure programs that have long-term societal impact and directly improve the reliability, sustainability, and resilience of public transportation systems at a time when funding budgets are under increasing pressure.

Lead & Deliver:

  • Lead end-to-end Maximo/MAS workstreams across strategy, design, build, and deployment phases.
  • Facilitate solution design and business process workshops and drive stakeholder alignment.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into scalable architecture patterns.
  • Guide integration design across ERP, GIS, IoT, and analytics platforms.
  • Ensure delivery quality across configuration, integration, and data migration activities.

Advise & Influence:

  • Act as trusted advisor to client and Arcadis leadership teams.
  • Present solution options and architectural trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
  • Support operating model and governance design for EAM platforms.
  • Contribute to roadmap development, adoption and digital transformation strategy.

Mentor & Grow the Practice:

  • Provide leadership and coaching to the wider consultant team.
  • Contribute to Arcadis EAM methodologies and reusable frameworks.
  • Support proposal development and client growth initiatives across Arcadis' North American business.
  • Shape best practices for MAS-based enterprise transformation.

Qualifications & Experience:

We are seeking highly driven consulting professionals who thrive in complex, high-visibility environments and who can bring structured thinking to ambiguity.

You likely bring:

  • Extensive experience delivering IBM Maximo and IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) within large, asset-intensive organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation capabilities.
  • Proven experience leading workstreams within multi-million dollar enterprise programs.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns (REST APIs, event-driven architecture, MIF, ERP/GIS integration).
  • Experience in highly regulated transportation / utility industry environments.
  • Experience with MAS 8/9, OpenShift, or cloud-hosted deployments.
  • Experience of the design and deployment of mobile solutions extending EAM into the field.
  • Experience of inventory management leading practice including process and technical ERP integration.
  • Ability to support asset data design and data migration and cutover workstreams.
  • Ability to balance strategic consulting with hands-on solution credibility.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting Maximo 7.6 MAS transformations.
  • Experience of business and technical cutover planning and execution.
  • Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD approaches in enterprise EAM.
  • Knowledge of asset performance, reliability, and predictive maintenance frameworks and how EAM can support these.
  • Contribution to business development or proposal leadership.
  • Membership of the Institute of Asset Management and/or the practical application of Asset Management Leading Practice.
