Job description

Senior Footwear Developer - NIKE, Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Responsible for the product creation process from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned models to lead to on time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals. Work on complex footwear project and convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the consumer and business. Ensure all gates and dates are met for different stakeholders to receive the samples and present to the consumer and collect feedback to confirm moving forward. Work on all phases of the product process to ensure projects can be manufactured and communicated with Asia partner management office and factory development center to deliver the brief and consumer needs. Influence the project direction and purpose to ensure team are all working towards to the same goal. Use footwear manufacturing technologies and equipment, tooling, and material, and knows how to validate the product performance through all these medias and provide a quality product to serve sport athletes. Manage all aspects of the footwear costing structure and implements how the value could be controlled when developing a footwear product through material, process, and labor. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Design, Project Management, Fashion Design and 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a design-related occupation.
