Job description

Are you tired of production machining and just making parts? Are you proud of your work and like a smaller work environment where you can share your ideas and make an impact building a final product?

Quality work is extremely important. When working with us, you won’t make a lot of parts, but you will fit them together with precision, care and the craftsmanship that has been passed down for over 100 years!

Would you like to explore a career path as the new leader of our custom clock manufacturing department? We build some of the world’s largest outdoor clocks. They adorn the peaks of towers, the walls of beautiful buildings, many of America’s most famous stadiums, arenas, church cupolas and clock displays inspired by architects and designers around the globe.

Much of your time will be spent manufacturing and assembling custom clockworks consisting of gears, bearings, shafts, bushings, and castings. You will also work collaboratively with other team members involved in the design, sale and servicing of large clock mechanisms as well as managing our parts inventory.

Relevant experience:

· Manual machining experience including lathe, mill, and gear hobbing.

· An understanding of gear principles and experience assembling gear trains.

· Experience with material selection for critical components. Including things like fastener size and shaft diameter.

· Knowledge of bearings, bushings, and their application in various assemblies.

· Experience managing materials, parts manufacturing, and parts inventory.

· Attention to detail, safety is a top priority.

· Provide customer support for clockworks design and product selection.

· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems - customers will send in their old clock mechanisms to be repaired and refurbished.

· Basic electrical experience is important to assist customer installations.

We are hiring for both Full Time and Part Time.

Relevant Experience:

- Manual Machining Experience, Lathe, Mill, Gear Cutting

- Mechanical Aptitude
