Clipper Tie Operator 3rd Shift (Sunday- Thursday 7:30pm - 5:30am) $20.81/hr. + $1.00/hr. Shift Differential

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Clipper Tie Operator to be based out of Hebron, OH. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for running a clip gun, loading magazines, and clipping coil loops together in a line along with wire tie operation and packaging.

What you'll do:

  • Adherence to Atkore Safety / Life Saving Rules is paramount.
  • Demonstrate Core Values.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Clips coil loops together using an air-operated clip gun.
  • Change magazines or feeds strips of clips into clip guns.
  • Moving baskets or coils into position.
  • Removes tie wires (WIP-type products).
  • Aligning barbs or loops into the proper position prior to clipping.
  • Removing extra clips.
  • Daily cleaning of the work area.

What you'll bring: 

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • 1+ years of related experience preferred
  • Lean concept sustainment & problem-solving skills.
  • Safety action orientated.
  • Flexibility of shift schedule including overtime and weekends.
  • Must have an outgoing positive attitude, be a team player and have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally team lift more than 50 pounds. Be able to push and pull extremely heavy loads using leverage tools.

Within 3 months, you'll:

  • Set up the work area.
  • Be able to complete minor mechanical repairs or adjustments.
  • Be able to load magazines.
  • Assist roll formers with minor adjustments and material changes.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $20.81/hr.  Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.  Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
