Job Description

General Purpose of Job:

Coordinate indirect clinical functions and act as support person to Clinical Staff.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

  • Receives, delivers, and records messages/phone mail from patients/families or Associates to appropriate personal in a timely manner using appropriate telephone etiquette.
  • Manages the Daily Activity Logs (DAL's) of all Associates providing direct patient care to ensure concise patient care statistics and fulfillment of scheduled visits (frequency).
  • Verifies and enters patient discharges into the Agency computer system when applicable.
  • Performs general secretarial/office duties.
  • Initiates and tracks insurance authorization as required by payers
  • Assists in various audits to ensure agency is meeting regulatory and accrediting standards relays to appropriate manager when audit variations are noted.
  • Maintains medical supply inventory, which includes ordering, stocking and supplies filing.

Assists with clinical scheduling.
