Job description

Summary The Meditech Clinical Analyst provides project management and coordinates patient care process design and reviews activities access for the organization to ensure maximum benefits and enhancements are functioning correctly. Formats, designs and builds relevant clinical content into appropriate workflows to provide end-users with knowledge at the point of care. This position is responsible for identifying areas at risk in coordination with the Manager of HIT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Acts as a liaison for nurses, physicians and ancillary areas to translate clinical requirements into clinical systems.
  • Leads teams to implement new projects and systems.
  • Assists with process redesign and coordinates clinical workflow.
  • Assesses implementation strategies and the impact those strategies will have on workflows and operations.
  • Trains end-users on new or enhanced applications.
  • Ensures production clinical systems operate accurately, reliably and efficiently.
  • Researches and analyzes system performance and assists with improvement measures.
  • Provides support, performs root cause analysis and issues resolution for problems in all clinical applications. This includes after-hour maintenance and end user support as required.
  • Assists with ensuring adequate security measures and procedures are in place to maintain the confidentiality of the gathered data and distribution/access is only made to the appropriate, designated personnel.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting and problem resolution services to computer and telephone end-users.
  • Provides excellent customer service to resolve issues and maintains systems.
  • Produces and maintains systems documentation.
  • Assists with system upgrades.
  • Completes assignments with minimal supervision.

Education and/or Experience

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field is required; or equivalent experience.

Must have knowledge of all major storage protocols.

Ability to manage detailed tasks efficiently and effectively. Strong project management skills required.

Must have excellent customer service skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis and permanent problem resolution skills

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Experience in the installation of application development methodology and standards.

Education and/or Experience                                                   

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field is required; or equivalent experience.
