About The Role
The main responsibility of the Senior Manager, Clinical Project Finance is to oversee all Altasciences' Clinical project set up, customer contract set up, and revenue recognition activities, while working closely with our receivables teams. This includes managing the Clinical Project Finance Analysts ensuring revenue is recorded accurately, working with sales to process changes and updates to contracts, and coordinating with our Financial Planning & Analysis team to provide reporting and visibility into project gross margins and profitability.
What You'll Do Here
  • Manage and oversee budgets, revenue & billing schedules are loaded timely and accurately into WD including link to Compass milestones to ensure revenue & billing is recognized timely, and revenue forecasts for signed work are accurate.
  • Manage and oversee the final reconciliation process of clinical studies, ensuring reconciliations are completed timely, reviewed by operations/BD and clients in a timely manner.
  • Draft final reconciliations to be completed within 60 days of LPV and 60 days after final deliverable to client.
  • Coordinate with FP&A team on any revenue adjustments that will need to be included in the forecast.
  • Collate commentary of variance of actuals to prior project forecast.
  • Evaluate contracts for ultimate revenue recoverability.
  • Manage overall WIP/Deferred for Clinical studies.
  • Ensure Project Finance Analyst is managing study finances and WIP/Deferred and working with AR on outstanding invoicing.
  • Oversee transaction taxes on contracts (sales and value added).
  • Handle transaction-based revenue recognition processing.
  • Lead, mentor and manage Clinical Project Finance Analysts.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with year-end activities, including audit preparation and balance sheet back up for deferred and work in progress contract positions.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and policies for contract creation and revenue processing.
  • Collaborate with company clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain good relations with customers and client sponsors.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of related experience in revenue management, AR, accounting
  • CRO experience preferred
  • WD PSA module experience preferred
  • 2+ plus years related experience in management
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to write advanced reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve situations in a timely manner.
  • Must possess strong client services and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills are required.
  • Personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
  • Capable of managing multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Must be self-directed, motivated, and have a willingness to take the initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.

The salary range estimated for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
