Bariatric Program Manager

The Bariatric Program Manager supports the Bariatric Wellness Institute by advancing quality initiatives, tracking key program metrics, supporting performance improvement efforts, and helping maintain compliance with American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery standards. This role is responsible for coordinating quality data capture, analysis, education, regulatory readiness, and accreditation activities for the Bariatric Center of Excellence.

This position is ideal for a licensed healthcare professional with strong quality improvement experience, data analysis skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes within a bariatric program.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Dietetics, Nutritional Science, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration required
  • Master's degree in Healthcare, Health Information Management, or a business-related field preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare quality improvement activities or programs required
  • Bariatric program experience preferred
  • Current Arizona licensure as a healthcare professional required, such as RDN, RN, or APP
  • Membership with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery required

Key Responsibilities

The Bariatric Program Manager will be responsible for:

  • Capturing, reviewing, and entering quality and performance data through observation, chart review, and database entry
  • Retrieving and analyzing clinical effectiveness data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance improvement needs
  • Supporting quality initiatives related to publicly reported measures, regulatory standards, and bariatric program goals
  • Communicating data analysis, trends, and improvement opportunities to leadership, physicians, and hospital stakeholders
  • Maintaining collaborative relationships with system and hospital teams
  • Providing just-in-time education to staff on quality metrics, standards, and process updates
  • Monitoring regulatory resources, industry literature, and best practices related to bariatric quality and accreditation
  • Participating in annual reviews of system quality programs
  • Supporting regulatory survey preparation and the survey process
  • Designing and implementing focus studies related to quality and regulatory initiatives
  • Coordinating the accreditation application and site visit process for Bariatric Center of Excellence designation
  • Supervising support staff as needed
