Job description
Do you thrive on organization, love solving logistical puzzles, and take pride in keeping complex schedules on track? If so, this might be the role for you!
We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator to help ensure our nursing students have exceptional clinical learning experiences. In this role, you'll be the operational backbone of our clinical program-coordinating schedules, managing compliance requirements, supporting faculty and students, and building strong relationships with our clinical partners.
Arizona College of Nursing is a rapidly growing, nursing school that transforms people's lives by preparing them for careers in nursing and improving communities through the care its graduates provide. As a leading nurse educator, Arizona College of Nursing offers students the opportunity to earn a bachelor's in nursing in 3 years or less with qualified transfer credits. Our quality nursing curriculum prepares students for an in-demand career to help communities overcome the chronic, well-known, and increasing nursing shortage. Through the execution of a targeted growth strategy, the college plans to meet the growing demand for nurses by launching campuses in markets where bachelor's prepared nurses are needed.
Putting students first, we are dedicated to providing students with an exceptional education in growing healthcare fields; teaching them relevant, required skills for today and the future. Our culture is positive, supportive, and collaborative. As a team, we continually embrace our core values:
Passion: We love helping others succeed.
Excellence: We strive to be the best.
Adaptability: We learn, in part by trying new ideas.
Accountability: We own our results.
Integrity: We do the right thing.
What You'll Do:
The Clinical Coordinator supports the seamless, accurate, and timely execution of all clinical scheduling and operational logistics at the campus level. This role is responsible for organizing complex information, and maintaining structured processes and fostering professional, collaborative interactions with clinical partners, faculty, and students.
Essential responsibilities:
Clinical Scheduling & Logistics
- Develop, manage, and distribute accurate and timely clinical schedules for students.
- Review course calendars and event timelines proactively to identify and prevent scheduling conflicts.
- Ensure students are assigned to clinical experiences that align with curriculum requirements.
- Coordinate clinical make-up experiences and arrange preceptor assignments as needed.
- Monitor schedules for gaps or potential risks early and escalate issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive records of clinical placements, site requirements, and student assignments.
- Facilitate new instructor onboarding to ensure understanding of assigned clinical sites, units, and site-specific requirements.
Compliance & Documentation Management
- Ensure all health, safety, and site-specific compliance requirements are met for each student and clinical placement.
- Track, organize, and maintain clinical agreements, site documentation, and partnership records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within the College's CRM and internal systems.
- Support audit readiness by keeping all required documents current, complete and well-organized.
Campus Clinical Operations Support
- Monitor day-to-day operational needs to support smooth delivery of clinical experiences.
- Prepare reports that evaluate clinical program effectiveness and highlight scheduling trends.
- Participate in clinical coordination forums, summits, and internal meetings to support collaboration and alignment.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
Relationship Management
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with existing clinical partners.
- Communicate schedules, requirements, and key updates to partner sites in a timely manner.
- Escalate partner feedback or concerns to the Dean as appropriate and support Clinical leadership in coordinating timely, effective responses.
- Coordinate with the Clinical Development team to strengthen partner engagement and support strategic forecasting of student clinical placement needs.
- Represent the College at select events to support partner relations and program visibility.
- At Arizona College of Nursing, we believe in a collaborative approach where all colleagues work together towards our shared goals. It's important to note that this list doesn't cover everything you'll be asked to do or need to do. We value adaptability and flexibility as we grow and evolve as an organization.
