The Clinicalย Directorย assistsย with supervisory responsibilities forย therapists in a specialized eating disorder residential treatment setting.ย ย The Clinicalย Directorย collaborates with clinical and leadership team members to supportย highย qualityย program servicesย throughย managingย program schedules,ย client services delivery,ย team memberย coachingย and professional development.ย ย The Clinicalย Directorย is also responsible for providing individual,ย groupย and familyย treatmentย services for assigned clients.ย ย

Position Responsibilitiesย 

Essential Responsibilitiesย 

  1. Providesย compassionate and professional guidance toย clients andย referring professionals seekingย eating disorder treatment.ย 

  1. Supervises and manages other licensedย or licensed eligibleย clinicians.ย 

  1. Ensuresย programming is defined, coordinated,ย staffedย and delivered in a manner that provides high quality care for clients.ย 

  1. Assistsย withย hiring,ย coachingย and developingย clinical staff.ย 

  1. Acts as aย treatmentย teamย liaison to family/support systems,ย as needed.ย 

  1. Overseesย weekly treatment team meetings to coordinate care, communicate client needs and progress, and ensure consistent and quality care.ย 

  1. Providesย ongoing training to all staff members to advance treatment skills, cultural sensitivity and compliance with licensure and accreditation standards.ย 

  1. Coordinatesย withย theย utilizationย reviewย team toย maintainย coverage for clients atย appropriate levelย of care.ย ย ย 

  1. Maintains assignedย client caseloadย asย primary therapist for assigned clients,ย to includeย individual and family therapy.ย ย ย 

  1. Assistsย in coordinating case coverage duringย team memberย absences.ย ย 

  1. Provides clinicalย oversightย ensuring clinical program compliance with licensure and accreditation standards.ย ย 

  1. Representsย facilityย at local,ย regionalย and national eating disorder-oriented events,ย as needed.ย 

  1. Supports admissions processes, ensuring team members create a welcoming and safe environment for clients entering care.ย ย 

  1. Works closely with businessย officeย and direct care support staff.ย 

  1. Updatesย professionalย knowledgeย and skillย byย participatingย in educational opportunities; reading professional publications related toย facilityย Mission and population.ย

Education and Experienceย 

Masterโ€™s degree in social work, LPC-MHSP, LCSW, LMFT considered.ย Possesses working knowledge of psychotherapy, psychopathology, diagnosticย assessmentย and related treatment interventions.ย ย Knowledge of evidence-based treatments and ability to individualize treatment approaches to meet each client's needs.ย ย Must be able to conceptualize and implement master treatmentย planย with fully developed problems,ย objectivesย and goals andย monitorย other clinicians to do the same.ย ย Licensed to practice in the state of Alabame.ย ย Three plus years of psychological experience.ย ย Experience in treating eating disorders is preferred.ย
