Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Ketamine Infusion Therapy

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 annually, based on experience, plus bonus opportunities

Schedule: Monday–Friday | No Nights | No Weekends | No On-Call

Position Overview

An innovative outpatient behavioral health practice is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and ketamine infusion therapy services. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing practice focused on delivering evidence-based treatments for patients with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, chronic pain, and other qualifying conditions.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate and clinically driven provider who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and helping establish best practices in a progressive mental health treatment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessments to determine patient eligibility for ketamine therapy
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including dosing schedules, monitoring protocols, and follow-up care
  • Administer and supervise IV and IM ketamine treatments
  • Monitor patient response, vital signs, and safety throughout treatment sessions
  • Manage follow-up care, treatment adjustments, and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patient care and treatment outcomes
  • Coordinate care with patients' mental health providers, therapists, and primary care physicians
  • Assist with the development and implementation of clinical protocols, safety procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and professional regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
  • Active APRN license or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
  • Active DEA registration or ability to obtain
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of post-certification experience as a PMHNP
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience with patient monitoring and IV-based clinical services
  • Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and clinical decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ketamine infusion therapy, Spravato (esketamine), infusion services, or procedural sedation
  • Training or certification in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), CBT, ACT, EMDR, or other evidence-based psychotherapy modalities
  • Background in outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, pain management, or private practice settings
  • Experience working within collaborative practice models
  • Familiarity with treatment-resistant mood disorders and advanced psychiatric interventions
