Sterling Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center,  in Media, PA,  is seeking an experience Speech Language Pathologist to join the rehabilitation departments on a part-time basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

•        Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment modalities may include: individual, concurrent, and group.

•        Provide excellent training for residents and caregivers.

•        Documents services provided within Rehab Optima on a timely basis.

•        Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.

•        Exhibits courtesy, compassion, and respect to residents, families, caregivers, visitors, physicians, administrators, and co-workers in every interaction.

•        Demonstrates continuous new learning to remain current in the field.

•        Complies with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures to protect residents’ individual health information.

•        Participates in clinical program development and implementation.

•        Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.

•        Responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality outcomes.

•        Participates in the training and orientation of other staff, students, and volunteers.

•        Participates in quality improvement activities as needed.

•        May perform additional assigned administrative duties like: assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.

•        Evaluates residents and develops appropriate care plans.

•        Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.

•        Provide supervision for Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapist Assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with state license requirements and professional standards

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

•         Graduated from an accredited program approved by their professional association.

•         Current licensure by the applicable state agency.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
