Job Description

Are you passionate about transforming clinical research through AI, intelligent workflows, and modern cloud applications?
Oracle Health Data Intelligence is building the next generation of clinical trial technology—bringing together study startup, clinical data capture, randomization, trial execution, and AI-powered workflows into a unified Trial Operations Intelligence platform.
We're looking for an exceptional product leader to define the future of Oracle's Trial Operations portfolio. This leader will own the strategy and execution for one of Oracle's largest clinical application portfolios while driving its evolution into an AI-first platform powered by intelligent agents and modern user experiences.
This is not a role for someone who has managed a single clinical product for decades. We're looking for a builder and transformer—someone who understands clinical trial operations deeply, has delivered AI-enabled applications, and can reimagine legacy enterprise software into intelligent, agent-driven experiences that customers love.

About the Role

As the Senior Director of Product Management for Trial Operations, you will lead Oracle's end-to-end Trial Operations product portfolio spanning:

  • Study Startup and Site Activation
  • Electronic Data Capture (EDC)
  • Randomization and Trial Supply Management (RTSM)
  • Clinical Data Management
  • Trial Execution and Monitoring
  • AI Agents and Intelligent Clinical Workflows

You'll lead a global team of Product Managers across multiple products and geographies while partnering closely with engineering, data science, AI, UX, sales, customer success, and strategic pharmaceutical customers.
This role combines portfolio leadership with deep product innovation. You'll define how AI agents transform the daily work of sponsors, CROs, and investigative sites while modernizing Oracle's existing clinical applications into an intelligent SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

Own the Trial Operations Vision

  • Define and execute the long-term product strategy for Oracle's Trial Operations portfolio.
  • Create a unified vision spanning study startup through study execution and clinical data management.
  • Lead the evolution of legacy applications into a modern, AI-first platform.

Drive AI Transformation

  • Build AI-powered experiences and intelligent agents on top of Oracle's clinical applications.
  • Transform traditional workflow-based products into agentic, outcome-driven experiences.
  • Partner with engineering and AI teams to deliver production-grade AI capabilities that solve real customer problems.

Lead a Complex Product Organization

  • Lead and mentor a global organization of Product Managers responsible for multiple Trial Operations products.
  • Drive alignment across product lines to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Build a high-performing product organization focused on innovation, execution, and customer success.

Partner with Customers

  • Serve as an executive product leader with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and healthcare organizations.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders.
  • Translate customer needs into product strategy and platform investments.

Shape the Future of Clinical Trials

  • Lead innovation across study startup, clinical operations, EDC, RTSM, and trial execution.
  • Drive intelligent automation that improves trial efficiency, data quality, and user productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify complex workflows using AI and modern application design.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, UX, Cloud Infrastructure, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Guide roadmap prioritization, product launches, and customer adoption strategies.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a product executive who combines deep clinical domain expertise with modern AI product leadership.
The ideal candidate has experience leading large product organizations while building next-generation applications powered by AI.
They are equally comfortable discussing clinical trial workflows with pharmaceutical executives and technical implementation details with engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of product management experience in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Healthcare Technology, or Enterprise SaaS.
  • Proven leadership managing complex product portfolios and global product teams.
  • Deep understanding of clinical trial operations across study startup, execution, EDC, RTSM, and clinical data management.
  • Experience building or delivering AI-powered applications, intelligent automation, or agent-based workflows.
  • Demonstrated success modernizing enterprise software into cloud-native SaaS platforms.
  • Strong executive communication and customer-facing experience with pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering organizations to deliver complex software products.
  • Strong product strategy, roadmap planning, and organizational leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI agents, LLM-powered applications, or intelligent workflow automation.
  • Experience leading products supporting clinical trial operations.
  • Knowledge of GxP, FDA, EMA, ICH-GCP, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience integrating clinical applications with analytics and real-world data platforms.
  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

What Sets You Apart

You are a transformational product leader—not simply a product operator.
You have built applications, not just managed roadmaps.
You understand how AI changes enterprise software and can translate that vision into products customers trust.
You know clinical trial operations well enough to engage executive customers while partnering deeply with engineering to build the future.
Most importantly, you can inspire teams, modernize complex product portfolios, and establish Oracle as the leader in AI-powered Trial Operations.

Why Oracle

Oracle Health Data Intelligence is redefining how clinical research is conducted. By combining industry-leading clinical applications with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AI, and healthcare data, we're building the intelligent platform that will power the next generation of clinical trials.
If you're passionate about transforming life sciences through AI—and want to lead one of Oracle's most strategic product portfolios,we'd love to talk.
