Job Description

With minimal supervision, actively collaborates with CBO teams and payors to enhance efficiencies, maintain system profiles, and reduce errors/denials that cause inflow and preventable loss write-offs. This role may also serve as a liaison between clinical departments, information services, the Helios team, and external vendors. Participates in and coordinates system or process improvements.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, Finance, IT, or related field, OR a minimum of 7 years of experience in Hospital or Professional Billing, Contracting, Payment Variances, or other Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience
  • 2 years of healthcare experience, preferably at a large, complex, integrated healthcare organization
  • Knowledge of Medicare & Medicaid guidelines and other third-party billing rules
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with strong diplomacy and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage complex, simultaneous assignments with potentially conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience gathering, organizing, and analyzing data from multiple sources and presenting findings to leadership for decision support

PREFERRED:

  • EPIC system experience
